Currently, I am working with organizations in Greenwood County in an attempt to increase voter awareness and to encourage civic engagement. I would like to use my degree to depolarize, protect and strengthen our democracy.

A faculty member who finds joy in helping undergraduates succeed has earned Lander University’s Junior Faculty Scholar Award.
South Carolina Affordable Learning, also known as “SCALE,” is an initiative of the Partnership Among South Carolina Academic Libraries that annually recognizes Professors of Affordable Learning (PAL). Six members of the Lander faculty were recently given this distinction.
“Rural areas have unique issues,” according to Lane Riley, keynote speaker at this year’s Carolina Undergraduate Social Science Symposium (CUSSS), hosted by Lander University.
