As a public institution, Lander University receives state funds to insure that its students are provided with a strong, basic education. Lander, however, is committed to offering an education that goes beyond the basics. Friends of Lander who share that vision are helping provide the funding that makes the difference between a very good education and one that is truly excellent through The Lander Foundation. Naming Opportunities

Opportunities abound for benefactors to leave a legacy of caring and commitment to the students who will expand and enrich the empires of their minds at Lander University. One significant opportunity is in the naming of selected buildings, classrooms, laboratories and other areas of campus in honor of individuals or groups. Not only will the names of those so honored live on in perpetuity, but donors will know they have played a significant part in undergirding the good work on this university.

Bank Draft/ACH Draft

The Lander Foundation now has the capability to initiate electronic debit entries for your donations. If you would like to donate via ACH transfer, please complete the ACH Form (PDF) and return it and a voided check to Craig Glanton at The Lander Foundation.

Payroll Deduction

Contribute each pay period to The Lander Foundation with a direct payroll deduction by completing the Payroll Deduction Form.

Securities

Listed stocks and bonds that have increased in value are excellent gifts, assuming the securities have been held for the required length of time.

Real Estate

Property that has increased in value is a wise donation because the full value of the gift is tax deductible. The donor's profit will not be taxable as gain.

Life Insurance

The cash-surrendered value of a life insurance policy is immediately tax deductible. Later gifts made to pay the premium are also deductible. More importantly, the donor has the satisfaction of providing The Lander Foundation with a sizable gift.

Trusts and Annuities

Cash, marketable securities, or real estate may be used to establish a charitable trust or annuity from which the donor would receive income for life. Upon the donor's death, the assets would go to The Lander Foundation.

Bequests

Gifts willed to The Lander Foundation are of mutual benefit to The Foundation and the donor.
