There are opportunities for you study a variety of subjects at almost any institution you choose. But the education you receive from the College of Science & Mathematics at Lander University will give you an edge when you are applying for that first job, for graduate school or for professional school. The difference is the type of opportunities you will have, such as personal interaction with your faculty, and the hands-on experiences throughout your program, all in a safe, modern, and caring environment. We can place students in travel abroad programs, internships, and research projects, both during the school year and in the summer. Explore, examine, and find out “what-if” with our student centered professors that make teaching their top priority and who share in the excitement when students succeed.
Housed in two campus buildings, the College of Science & Mathematics offers state-of-the-art facilities where biology students explore their curiosity about the complex web of organisms that thrive in ecosystems and research the causes of modern diseases and their cures; mathematics and computing students work to unravel mathematical or technological mysteries; and chemistry and environmental students study how molecules and elements interact, as well as explore energy alternatives to protect the environment.
